In Stellar Blade, taking a break from fighting Naytiba's threat to cast to fish is the only way to claim some of EVE’s most exclusive rewards. To become a master angler and unlock the Lonely Fisherman trophy, you must catch at least 20 of the 25 unique fish species hidden across Earth’s various water bodies.
If you are a completionist and manage to reel in all 25, you will be rewarded with the highly coveted Ocean Maid Nano Suit, which you can equip immediately upon speaking to the master fisherman, Clyde.
Your fishing journey begins at the Oasis in the Great Desert, where you must speak to Clyde to trigger the side quest Looking Glass. This quest provides you with your first fishing rod and introduces you to the mechanics of using different baits—Small Shrimp, Wriggling Insects, Fish Slices, and the elusive Fantastic Bait—to target specific fish sizes.
While the Oasis is the primary hub for your fishing career, you will also need to visit unique spots in Eidos 7, the Wasteland, and the missable Atelier in Eidos 9.
Because Eidos 9 is tied to Lily's progress bar and becomes inaccessible after the "points of no return" at Spire 4, you should aim to finish your collection before the final act of the story begins.
To catch the rarest Gigantic and Jumbo fish like the Whale Shark or Dunkleosteus, you must progress through a series of fishing-related side quests from the Xion bulletin board, such as "A Gift for a Fishing Maniac" and "Where is the Fantastic Bait?"
These quests grant you the specialized Fishing Data and bait required to tackle the game’s toughest catches. Remember to use your drone’s scanner to locate blue icons on your map, which indicate suitable fishing spots, and always check in with Clyde to exchange your Fishing Points for more advanced gear.
This guide details the exact locations of every fishing spot in Stellar Blade and the specific fish you can find at each one to help you complete your data bank. Obviously, we also marked all the fishing spots on our interactive maps for Stellar Blade.
